Wednesday's BayBears Game Canceled Due to Rain

MOBILE, Ala. - Wednesday's game between the Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, and the Birmingham Barons was halted in the bottom of the fourth inning and canceled due to heavy rain at Hank Aaron Stadium. The game will not be resumed at a later date, since the teams do not play again in the first half of the season.
The BayBears begin a five-game road series against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Thursday at 6:05 p.m. CDT. Angels No. 23 prospect Luis Pena (1-3, 5.87 ERA) is scheduled to make the start against righty Nick Neidert (3-3, 3.82 ERA) for the Jumbo Shrimp.
