Weather Postpones P-Nats
August 19, 2011 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Potomac Nationals News Release
(Woodbridge, VA) Friday's game between the Potomac Nationals and Winston-Salem Dash was postponed due to inclement weather.
Rain, lightning and wind ripped through all of Northern Virginia Friday night and Woodbridge was no exception. Weather started at about 6 p.m. and worsened as the night went on. A brief 10-minute downpour brought the tarp on the field until the rain had broken. The tarp was removed for a short period before more dark clouds entered the area, and the decision to postpone the game was made.
Game two of the four game set will be made up tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. and will be part of a doubleheader with the second game beginning a half hour after the first game's conclusion. Gates open at 4:30.
