FRESNO, Calif. - The first Fresno Grizzlies homestand of the 2018 season is scheduled for April 10 through April 16, with seven games against the Tacoma Rainiers (Seattle Mariners) and Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks). Tickets may be purchased at the Chukchansi Park box office, or anytime at FresnoGrizzlies.com. Here is a preview of the week's promotional schedule:
Tuesday, April 10 (7:05 p.m.) - Opening Night/Post-Game Fireworks, presented by The Fresno Bee : The Grizzlies' alter-ego, the Fresno Tacos, will take the field for a home opener for the first time in franchise history! On this day fans will be able to enjoy $2 tacos from Taco Truck Throwdown-approved trucks and "Oppo Taco" on the right field concourse at Chukchansi Park, $2 sodas and $2 churros per a usual Toyota Taco Tuesday (specials good through the fifth inning). The team will be back in the "Taco-uila" sunrise uniforms which first debuted at last season's Taco Truck Throwdown; a zesty tribute to the Grizzlies' parent club, the 2017 World Champion Houston Astros. The first 2,000 fans will receive a 2018 magnet schedule, presented by PG&E. Fireworks will follow the game. New Fresno Tacos merchandise will be available in the team store.
Opening Night All-You-Can-Eat BBQ (5:35 to 7:05 p.m.): INCLUDES GAME TICKET- $35 for general public, $19 for season-ticket holders. All purchases include a FREE Grizz cap! Menu includes burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, mac salad, brownies and fruit. Event will take place in the Tecate Cantina, at the third base/left field area of Chukchansi Park.
Wednesday, April 11 (6:35 p.m.) - Wear The Bear Wednesday: Stock-up on fresh Fresno Grizzlies and Fresno Tacos gear for the season; new-for-2018 merchandise is also available. Fans will enjoy an automatic 25% off their in-game purchase in the Fresno Grizzlies Team Store on Wednesdays in 2018. Keep an eye out for special in-stadium only deals on food, tickets and merchandise during every Wednesday this season, varying each week.
Thursday, April 12 (7:05 p.m.) - Throwback Thursday: Special Fresno Grizzlies throwback merchandise will be available in the team store during each Thursday home game: Limited runs of throwback merchandise available- can only be purchased at the ballpark! Thursday Happy Hour Special: The best food deal in Triple-A is back for 2018! At every Thursday home game from gates open (6:05 p.m.) to first pitch, fans can order a burger, fries and a 12-ounce beer or soda for just FIVE DOLLARS.
Friday, April 13 (7:05 p.m.) - My Job Depends on Ag Night/Friday Night Fireworks, presented by J.D. Heiskell & Company: Two fireworks shows on the opening homestand! The first Friday Night Fireworks spectacular will be post-game. It's also Christian Fellowship Night presented by Spirit 88.9 & 100.1, featuring a post-game concert by Ryan Stevenson, following the fireworks. Farm Grown Fridays: The full farmer's market on the concourse is back for 2018!
Saturday, April 14 (7:05 p.m.) - NASA Night, presented by Brightwood College: A promotional first, with the inaugural "NASA Night" at Chukchansi Park. Fans will be able to enjoy live demos of Moon and Mars portals/simulators, an "Ask a Scientist" Booth and much more space-related "edu-tainment" on the concourse during the game. It's also the first "Bark in The Park" game of the season; where one well-mannered four-legged friend will be admitted FREE for each ticket purchased. (Signing a waiver may be required.) Strike Out Autism Night: A partnership with Focused Behavioral Services @ Fresno State.
Sunday, April 15 (1:05 p.m.) - Save Mart Sundays: Fans should bring their Save Mart receipt or show the Save Mart app at the ticket office to receive $5 off each ticket in their purchase (limit eight tickets). A pre-game autograph session will feature two Grizzlies players, and Kids Run the Bases post-game. Curious George appearance: Presented by Valley PBS.
Monday, April 16 (11:05 a.m.) - Monday Madness, presented by The Fresno Bee: The best ticket deal in Minor League Baseball is back! Fans can take advantage of two Reserved tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, two Fresno Chaffee Zoo vouchers and two Pieology pizza or salad vouchers, all for just $25! Making the Grade: In partnership with Fresno County Department of Public Health, Tobacco Prevention Program, the Grizzlies will welcome nearly 10,000 kids to the game for free as a reward for a job well-done this school year.
