April 4, 2018 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - Professional Sports Catering and the Salt Lake Bees are offering a slate of new food offerings available at Smith's Ballpark this season. Along with traditional items like hot dogs and peanuts, the ballpark will be home to cheesesteaks, barbecue, pretzels and giant sandwiches.

Headlining the new offerings for 2018 is the 6-4-3 Double Play. The giant sandwich is made on a sheet of focaccia bread the size of a regulation base and contains six meats, four vegetables and three cheeses. One half of the sandwich is American style with ham, turkey, roast beef and cheddar cheese with a basil aioli, while the other half is Italian with salami, capicola and pepperoni, topped with provolone cheese and a green chili aioli. Both sides will be topped with jack cheese and lettuce, tomato, onions and carrots mixed with a homemade Italian dressing.

The sandwich is named after the scorekeeper shorthand for a double play that goes from shortstop (6) to second base (4) to first base (3). The sandwich will be available at The Hive stand on the first base concourse for $24 and feeds 4-6 people. It will be available in the 6-4-3 Double Play ticket package which includes a voucher for the sandwich and four view tickets for $64.32 available at www.slbees.com.

Other new food items include pulled pork nachos topped with a smoky bacon cheddar cheese available at the new Smoke and Pour food cart as well as The Hive, cheesesteaks will be made to order at the new Steakadelphia food cart, soft pretzels with bacon cheddar, beer cheese and pub mustard dipping sauces at The Hive and new barbecue offerings at Bumble BBQ down the right field stand.

The first chance for fans to sample the new food items will be on Thursday, April 5 as the Bees open the season against the Albuquerque Isotopes. The Bees will remain at Smith's Ballpark for a five game homestand with fireworks following the game on Saturday night and day games on Sunday and Monday.
