Wave Releases 2009-10 Schedule

MILWAUKEE (Oct. 13, 2009) - La Raza de Monterrey is the opponent when the Milwaukee Wave kicks off the home portion of their 26th season of professional indoor soccer at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

The Wave will play 11 of their 20 games at home, and aside from their traditional New Year's Eve contest, every home game is on Saturday or Sunday.

Monterrey also is the opponent for the overall season opener, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. The Wave play at Rockford that Friday night before opening the home season Dec. 6.

Traditional foe Baltimore is the opponent for the New Year's Eve game, slated for 2 p.m. The Blast also come to Milwaukee on Saturday, Jan. 23.

The full promotional schedule will be announced later this week, but some of this year's highlights include:

Saturday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m. vs. Rockford: Go Pink! game to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

Sunday, Feb. 21, 2 p.m. vs. Philadelphia: World's Largest Pinewood Derby Track on Boy Scout Day.
