Waszak promoted to Mississippi

PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves LHP Mitch Lambson has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. In corresponding moves, RHP Andrew Waszak was promoted to Double-A Mississippi from High-A Carolina.

Lambson, 25, was 1-0 with two saves and a 0.59 ERA in 11 games with the M-Braves. He's appeared in two games at Triple-A Gwinnett and gave up two earned runs. Lambson began the season at Double-A Corpus Christi where he posted a record of 2-1 with a 2.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances. He moved up to Triple-A Fresno, recording a 2.60 ERA in 13 games with the Grizzlies. The Oregon native was acquired by the Braves in a cash trade with Houston on July 6. He was originally selected by the Astros in the 19th round of the 2011 draft.

Waszak, 24, was 6-6 with one save and a 3.43 ERA in 24 games (11 starts) at High-A Carolina. He made two appearances, picking up one win and giving up just one run, with the M-Braves in April. Waszak also appeared in one game at Low-A Rome in April. The right-hander saw time at three levels last season including High-A Lynchburg (0-0, 9.20), Low-A Rome (0-0, 11.25) and Rookie-Danville (4-7, 4.44). Waszak was selected by the Braves in the 22nd round of the 2013 draft out of Michigan State University.

The Mississippi roster has 25 active players, 2 disabled and 1 suspended.
