Birmingham Barons News Release
The Chicago White Sox placed Adrian Nieto on the disabled list Saturday morning and acquired catcher Dallas Tarleton from the Arizona Diamondbacks via trade to fill the vacant Birmingham roster spot.
Tarleton played four games for the Mobile BayBears in 2015 during the months of May and June. The 29-year-old was hitting .333 in 12 at-bats before he was placed on the DL on June 8.
Tarleton was originally selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 20th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Elon University. He was released by the Rockies March 2014 before being signed by Arizona.
