Washington Stealth News Release

Everett, Wash. - The National Lacrosse League announced its weekly award winners for week #16 of the 2012 season today. Washington Stealth forward Rhys Duch was named the Offensive Player of the Week after a four-goal, six-assist performance against the Toronto Rock on April 20.

Duch equaled season highs in goals (4), assists (6) and points (10) in the Stealth's 16-13 loss to Toronto last Friday at Comcast Arena. The two-time NLL All-Pro tallied three goals and three assists in the second half as the Stealth mounted a comeback from a three-goal halftime deficit. His goal 34 seconds into the fourth quarter was a highlight-reel one-handed, behind-the-back marker that pulled the Stealth within a goal of the visiting Rock (video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?vQXmvD-Y8GlQ).

It was the fifth game in which Duch scored four goals, the third time he was credited with six assists and his second ten-point performance of the season. In 13 games this season, Duch leads the Stealth in goals (29), assists (42) and points (71).

The Stealth sits at 4-11 this season with just the regular season finale left to play. The Stealth faces the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, April 28 at the Comcast Arena on "Fan Appreciation Night". The game will also feature a Native Heritage celebration as the team honors the roots and traditions of lacrosse.

Tickets for the game start at just $7 and are available by calling 877-697-5849 or at www.stealthlax.com.
