
Minnesota Swarm's Jay Card Honored as Rookie of the Week

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced that Minnesota Swarm F Jay Card has been named the Week #16 Rookie of the Week. Wednesday's honor was Card's first career weekly player of the week award.
In the Swarm's 15-10 home victory against Philadelphia last weekend, Card tied a season-high four points (1g, 3a) and collected four loose balls. A third-round selection in 2011, Card is the third Swarm rookie to win the weekly award, joining G Evan Kirk and T Jordan MacIntosh.
Card ranks sixth on the Swarm in scoring in 2012 with 32 points (12g, 20a) and has collected 37 loose balls.
The playoff bound Minnesota Swarm (8-7) host the Colorado Mammoth (11-4) this Saturday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. on Treasure Island Field at Xcel Energy Center. The game will be televised on national television on CBS Sports Network and lower level tickets can be purchased for as low as $20.
