
Washington Spirit to Face North Carolina Courage in Closed-Door Scrimmage Saturday

Boyds, Md. - The Washington Spirit will face off against the North Carolina Courage in a closed-door exhibition match on Saturday, October 10 in Cary, NC at 1 pm ET.
Updates on the match will be provided via Washington Spirit and North Carolina Courage social media handles.
The Spirit came up short against North Carolina in their lone matchup in 2020, falling by a score of 2-0 in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup group stages. In their last regular season match, the Spirit were victorious, winning 2-1.
The Spirit concluded play in the 2020 NWSL Fall Series on October 3 with a win over Sky Blue FC. The Spirit finished the Fall Series with a record of 2-1-1 (7pts) and a goal differential of +1. The Spirit currently lead the Northeast Pod with one matchweek remaining.
