
Washington Spirit Elects Not to Retain NWSL Rights to Goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé

Boyds, MD - The Washington Spirit has elected to not retain the rights to goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé for the 2018 season.
The NWSL has made Labbé's rights available to all clubs via the NWSL Distribution Process, and teams will have until Thursday, Feb. 15 at 5pm ET to submit their interest in acquiring her rights to the League office.
Labbé appeared in 25 regular season games totaling 2,250 minutes across the 2016 and 2017 NWSL seasons. Labbé recorded 2 clean sheets in 17 matches for the Spirit in 2017.
Labbé, 31, first joined the Spirit during the 2016 offseason, after playing with KIF Ãrebro in Sweden the previous three years.
