Boyds, Md. - The Washington Spirit are proud to announce that the club has entered a partnership with Potomac Soccer Association.

The new partnership comes as a joint effort by the Spirit and Potomac Soccer to facilitate the growth of soccer in the DMV, giving all who play an equal chance to succeed on and off the pitch.

The new partnership will include two appearances by Washington Spirit players, an open invitation for Potomac Soccer coaches to several Spirit training sessions, Potomac Soccer Night at the Maryland SoccerPlex and more to be announced later.

Laurie Lane, Executive Director of Potomac Soccer, had this to say about the new partnership: "Potomac Soccer is delighted to partner with the Washington Spirit this year. We feel it is extremely important to support these exceptional women athletes and we are very fortunate to have them right in our backyard. Our families will certainly benefit from having access to the player appearances, game day fun and community involvement."

Founded in 1980 and based in Montgomery Maryland, Potomac Soccer has been dedicated to the growth of soccer in the DMV for nearly forty years. Consisting of 55 teams, Potomac Soccer is committed to building the beautiful game from the ground up, providing the best possible learning experiences for their young players.
