Winston-Salem, NC â The Winston-Salem Warthogs Pep Squad will perform live on the WXII-12 News Sunrise Show Thursday morning, January 22 at 6:10am and 6:40am. Wally the Warthog will be on hand as well as members of the pep squad to perform routines. Melissa Marsh from WXII-12 News will be reporting live from the Hitting Zone in Winston-Salem with pep squad coordinator Sarcanda Bellissimo. Tryouts for the squad will be held on Saturday, January 24th from 8:30am-1pm at the Hitting Zone, 1612 South Stratford Rd. in Winston-Salem across from Hanes Mall. All applicants must be at least 18 years old to tryout and there is a $10 registration fee. For more information on the Pep Squad, contact Sarcanda Bellissimo at (336) 759-2233 ext. 106. Winston-Salem will play its first home game on Monday, April 12 against Myrtle Beach at 7pm.
