
Warthogs Doubleheader with Kinston on Saturday Rained Out

KINSTON, NC - The Saturday night doubleheader between Winston-Salem and Kinston was postponed due to rain. The first game of the doubleheader was to be a continuation of Friday night's season opening contest that was halted in the bottom of the third inning due to a power outage. The game will be resumed with Kinston holding a 3-0 lead and having the bases loaded with no outs in the third inning.
Following the completion of the suspended game, the Warthogs will send RHP Matt Ely (0-0, 0.00) to the mound for the seven-inning nightcap. Kinston will counter with RHP Carlton Smith (0-0, 0.00). First pitch is scheduled for 30 minutes after the completion of game one. The originally scheduled series finale will be made up at a later date.
