Oklahoma Warriors News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma Warriors have punched their ticket to the Robertson Cup playoffs.

The Warriors earned a consolation point in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Corpus Christi IceRays at Blazers Ice Centre on Friday. The loss came despite the Warriors recording a season-high 51 shots on goal. Anthony Cafarelli and Branko Vukas scored for Oklahoma in the third period to force extra hockey.

With the playoff berth secured, the Warriors are a perfect 4-for-4 in making the playoffs since their inaugural season in 2020-21. The franchise owns three South division series wins, two of them last season en route to the 2023 Robertson Cup championship.

Oklahoma will travel for a first-round play-in series to start the postseason. The sixth-seed Warriors will likely face El Paso, the third seed, in a best-of-three series starting on Friday, April 12.
