
Walleye Add Two to Roster

Toledo, OH - Forward Austin Wuthrich and Defenseman Tommy Fallen have agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2015-16 season.
Wuthrich is a native of Anchorage, Alaska has spent the last four years at the University of Notre Dame where he played in 146 total contests and posted 56 points (28G, 28A). The 21-year-old set a career best with 10 goals this past season while tying his high with 17 points. He was drafted in 2012 in the fourth round by the Washington Capitals following his freshman season in which he had seven goals, 10 assists and was a plus five. The 6'1", 205-pound forward was a member of the USA Under 17 team that took home a Gold Medal in the 2010 World Hockey Challenge.
"Both players have had significant careers at the junior level and with two elite college hockey programs," Head Coach Derek Lalonde said. "They fit our model of character and leadership."
Fallen appeared in six games at the end of last season with the Wheeling Nailers, collecting his first professional point with one assist and was a plus six in those contests. The Plymouth, Minnesota native spent four years at Yale University where he appeared in 138 games with 66 points (19G, 47A). In 2012-13, the 24-year-old posted a career-best with 23 points by achieving career highs in goals (7) and assists (16) while helping the Bulldogs win the NCAA Championship. He led Yale defenseman in scoring in each of his first two seasons (2011-2013) and was team Captain during his senior year.
