Walker Zimmerman and Aníbal Godoy Head to International Duty

After an action-packed month of May, Nashville SC has reached the international break.

Defender Walker Zimmerman is in camp with the U.S. Men's National Team for the first time since qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in March. They're getting ready to open up World Cup pool play in Qatar on Nov. 21. Meanwhile, midfielder Aníbal Godoy has joined up with the Panama National Team for four matches during this window.

Here's a breakdown of Zimmerman and Godoy's matches on international duty:

Walker Zimmerman, U.S. Men's National Team

With World Cup qualification in hand, Zimmerman and the U.S. Men's National Team now prepare to play on the global stage with some tune-up matches against stiff competition. The U.S. will face Morocco and Uruguay, two World Cup-bound teams, in friendlies before facing Grenada and El Salvador in Concacaf Nations League matches.

Zimmerman has become a mainstay with the USMNT over the last year. He appeared in 10 of the team's 2022 World Cup Qualifying matches, captaining the side multiple times. He scored a goal and added one assist while guiding the team's defense to five clean sheets.

The U.S. boasted a 6W-2L-2D record, a +10 goal differential and five clean sheets with Zimmerman starting or appearing in World Cup Qualifying.

U.S. vs. Morocco - June 1 at 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPN2, UniMás, TUDN)

U.S. vs. Uruguay - June 5 at 4:00 p.m. CT (FOX, Univision, TUDN)

U.S. vs. Grenada - June 10 at 9:00 p.m. CT (ESPN+, UniMás, TUDN)

U.S. at El Salvador - June 14 at 9:00 p.m. CT (FS1, Univision, TUDN)

Aníbal Godoy, Panama National Team

After narrowly missing out on World Cup qualification in March, Panama returns to action in the Concacaf Nations League. They'll face Costa Rica to open the window before traveling to Canada for a friendly against the World Cup-bound squad. Los Canaleros will finish up the window with a home-and-home set against Martinique.

Godoy is a veteran of the Panamanian team, making 119 appearances all-time for his national team. He played in all but one of the team's 2022 World Cup Qualifying matches.
