Rockford Lightning News Release

Rockford, IL- There's been a switch on the Rockford Lightning roster, as two Bolts will flip-flop positions. Jermaine Walker returns to the active roster, while Ronnie Fields goes back on the injured reserve for the second time this season.

Fields previously was on the injured reserve after suffering a broken thumb in the first half of the game against Sioux Falls back on December 9. Fields returned to the active roster three weeks later, but has been playing with a bad shoulder that he's attempting to rehabilitate, so he can play in the playoffs.

"This is a big 11-game stretch for us, and we need ten healthy bodies. As soon as Ronnie is ready to come back, the door is open to him. Fields is Rockford Lightning through and through and it breaks his heart that he can't be playing in the stretch run, and he's doing everything in his power to return, " says Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Jermaine Walker played a brief five games with the Lightning, before being placed on the injured reserve list. In those five games, Walker averaged 22.6 points per game. He was placed on the injured reserve list on February 9 because of a quadriceps tear. However, ten days later, Walker has been cleared to play, and joins the Lightning for the stretch run of the season.
