
Mack and Livingston earn Player of the Week honors

Boise, ID (February 21, 2005) â The Continental Basketball Association announced today that Michigan Mayhem forward Sam Mack was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, while Sioux Falls Skyforce guard Randy Livingston was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the week of February 13 â 19.
Mack earned his second player of the week award this season after posting 20.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game as he led the Mayhem to an undefeated week with a 3-0 record. He also added 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal per contest while shooting 46.0 percent (21 of 46) from the floor, 83.0 percent (15 of 18) from the free-throw line, and 33.0 percent (4 of 12) from behind the three-point line.
Mack has led the Mayhem to six straight wins, including a 116-109 (6-1) victory over Eastern Conference-leading Great Lakes on February 16, in which he posted 22 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. He also currently leads the league in scoring at 21.7 points per game.
Sioux Falls Skyforce guard Randy Livingston earned his first weekly honor of the season after he posted 16.0 points and 11.8 assists per game as Sioux Falls finished the week with a 4-1 record. He also added 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 steals per contest while shooting 50.0 percent (28 of 56) from the floor, 77.3 percent (17 of 22) from the free-throw line, and 50.0 percent (7 of 14) from behind the three-point line. In a 102-97 (5-2) victory over the Yakima Sun Kings on February 15, Livingston was one rebound shy of his second triple-double of the season when he posted 18 points, 13 assists and nine rebounds. Four nights later he added 22 points, 15 assists, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocked shots as the Skyforce again defeated the Sun Kings 105-84 (6-1) on February 19.
Livingston currently ranks second in the league in assists with 8.2 per game, and sixth in steals at 2.0 per contest.
Other players receiving consideration were Gary's Jemeil Rich (16.0 ppg, 6.7 apg), Great Lakes' Jackie Butler (21.3 ppg, 12.0 rpg), Idaho's Sam Clancy (24.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg), and Dakota's Bryant Notree (17.0 ppg, 5.0 apg).
