WAGS to Feature on Spirit Kits During 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup

Boyds, Md - The Washington Spirit is proud to announce that the club will continue its corporate partnership with Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS) for the 2020 NWSL Season. WAGS will return as kit sponsors for the team and will have their logo printed on the back of the 2020 home and away kits for all 2020 Utah Challenge Cup matches.

WAGS's mission is to provide opportunities to sponsor, develop, and support educational and character-building programs for the benefit of women and girls through teaching and promoting an interest in the game of soccer. WAGS was a founding sponsor of the Washington Spirit in 2013 and continues to support the players, staff and organization, as well as the lives of the women and girls they inspire.

WAGS also became the presenting sponsor of the Washington Spirit's new Alliance Development Program in February, helping to foster a never-before-seen platform to influence the future of the game at the youth level.

The Alliance Development Program aims to generate more opportunities at the club and youth player level by connecting local youth programs with the professional coaches and players at the Washington Spirit.

WAGS Chairwoman Lula Bauer had this to say on the kit sponsorship: "WAGS has been a proud sponsor of the Washington Spirit from the very beginning in 2013. Our logo on the back of the player's jerseys acts as a signal to all female players across the NWSL and beyond to say, 'We have your back.'"

"WAGS was instrumental in supporting the launch of the Spirit in 2013 and they have an incredible history in the game. WAGS's mission is to advance females and the game and I could not be more proud to have them as our partner and my friends." said Spirit Majority Owner Steve Baldwin in February, when WAGS initially renewed their partnership with the Spirit.
