Wagner Reassigned to Norfolk

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has sent down forward Chris Wagner to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Wagner, 23, was most recently called up by the Ducks five days ago to fill in due to injuries. Wagner played in a game against the Los Angeles Kings on November 15 and was a healthy scratch in the next two tilts. In his match against the Kings, Wagner logged 11 shifts on 7:08 of ice time to go along with a 50.0 face-off percentage. He now has played two career games in the NHL, both coming this season. The center still leads the Admirals in goals (6), shorthanded goals (2) and points-per-game (1.12), and is tied for the team lead with Nic Kerdiles and Brad Winchester in points (9) through eight games.

The Admirals host the Portland Pirates tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. to begin a two-game weekend set concluded by a 7:15 p.m. start on Saturday.
