
Voyagers Pitch Their Way to Series Lead

Ogden, UT - The Voyagers won their second consecutive game and guaranteed a winning road trip with a 3-1 victory over the Raptors Wednesday night at Lindquist Field.
Great Falls (30-32, 8-16) improved to 3-3 in the season series with Ogden. The Voyagers are now 16-11 against the South Division, and 11-19 on the road. The Raptors (39-24, 13-12) dropped to 22-11 at home, and 16-11 against the North.
The Voyagers scored an early run with a two-out rally in the top of the 1st. Bryce Bush started it with a ground ball base hit that jumped over the shortstop and into left. Logan Sowers followed with a single to right. Amado Nunez brought Bush home with a double off the wall in left-center.
The Raptors leveled the game with an unearned run in the 2nd. Niko Hulsizer reached base with a throwing error on a grounder to short. Hulsizer scored the equalizer on a James Outman triple pulled up the right field line. Outman was thrown out at home tagging from third to complete a double play line out to right off the bat of Jon Littell.
Great Falls reclaimed the lead for good in the 3rd. With two outs, Travis Moniot doubled off the wall in deep right-center. Bryce Bush made it 2-1 with an RBI single to left-center. The game's final run scored in the 5th on an RBI single by Alex Destino that scored Moniot. Moniot had led off the inning with a base hit to left.
On the mound, Wyatt Burns posted the win in relief. Burns (3-0) worked three scoreless innings and gave up just two hits with four strikeouts and no walks. Evy Ruibal suffered the loss. Ruibal pitched two relief innings and allowed one earned run on five hits. Nick Johnson notched his third save with one strikeout. Davis Martin made his first start for Great Falls and yielded an unearned run on two hits with one strikeout and one walk in three innings.
The Voyagers outhit the Raptors 13-to-4. Ogden only had one base runner reach past first after the 2nd inning. Amado Nunez led Great Falls with a three-hit game. Nunez had two singles and a double with one RBI. Travis Moniot collected two hits with two runs. Bryce Bush and Adam McGinnis both had two hits.
Great Falls wraps up its seven-game road trip with game four at Ogden Thursday night. First pitch at Lindquist Field is scheduled for 6:30.
