3R 6TH LIFTS GF

The Voyagers knocked off Billings 4-1 on Tuesday, scoring three in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. Great Falls used four straight hits to take the lead. After the first run scored on a Mustang error, Louie Lechich picked up his second RBI of the night with a triple. The next batter, John Ziznewski, then drove Lechich home with a run-producing single. Grant Monroe and Matt Cooper combined to post four zeroes over the final four innings to seal the win, as Monroe collected his first career win, and Cooper his first career save.

CLARK TAKES HOME ND

Great Falls starter Brian Clark gave up a run on an RBI triple by Aristides Aquino in the first last night, but then settled in, scattering just three hits in his final four innings of work. The southpaw's five innings tied his career-long outing, and saw him strike out five Mustangs. The White Sox ninth round pick this year, Clark now has 48 strikeouts in 43.1 innings.

VALERIO TO DEBUT

The first of the two Dominican right-handers that Great Falls received from the AZL White Sox yesterday, Kelvis Valerio, will be making his Voyager debut tonight. A free agent signing in 2011, Valerio made 10 appearances, including 7 starts, for the AZL Sox this year, compiling a 4-2 record and a 3.33 ERA. In 46.0 innings, the righty struck out 42 Arizona League hitters and allowed them to hit just .243 against him. The other right-hander that Great Falls received yesterday, Yelmison Peralta, will debut tomorrow.

BULLPEN DOING ITS JOB

In the first three games of this homestand, the Voyager bullpen has yet to allow an earned run in nine innings of work. Those nine innings have seen five hits from opposing bats, two walks, and 11 strikeouts. As a result of this stretch, the earned run average of the relief corps has now dropped for 3.74 at the start of the homestand, down to 3.63.
