CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced that eight names have made the cut as finalists for the team's new superhero mascot which will join Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal as leaders of the Condors Army. Voting is available on www.BakersfieldCondors.com and will run through the team's home preseason game on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.

Condors mascots make hundreds of appearances each year at schools, hospitals, and charitable events putting smiles on kids faces. Kids love mascots and superheroes which makes this new addition to the Condors Army a win-win.

FINAL 8 NAMES:

- Buckaroo

- Dale

- Energyman

- Fuel

- Gusher

- Octane

- Ollie the Oil Drop

- Riggs

MEET THE NEW TEAM - OPEN HOUSE SEPT. 29 AND 30 from 3-7 P.M.

Fans have not one, but TWO opportunities to meet the new Condors next Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 29 and 30 from 3-7 p.m. at Rabobank Arena. Members can pick up their ticket books, grab their gifts, tour the newly renovated Condors locker room, meet the players and more. Not a member? Sign up at the event. Admission is free with the donation of two canned food items which will be donated to Greenfield Family Resource Center.
