Vote for Wiley the Wolverine
November 7, 2022 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Anchorage Wolverines News Release
Our mascot, Wiley the Wolverine, is nominated for the 2022 Minor League Greatest Community Impact award! Wiley the Wolverine came to life only one year ago, but his impact on our hockey team and community has been incredible. Anchorage suffered the loss of all professional and collegiate hockey, and the kids of our city were without any local entertainment, or inspiration. With the addition of the Anchorage Wolverines, older kids were given a team to cheer for - but the really little ones all gravitate towards our Wiley.
By day, our Wiley representatives are members of our great military. Dustin Hayden, an active-duty representative of our U.S. Air Force, and Brandon Baldwin, a GS-12 DOD civilian, both volunteer their energy and time to represent Wiley as proudly as they represent our country. These men truly embody what a hero should be, and we are grateful for their service.
Thanks to our incredible community, Team Anchorage Wolverines is the leading NAHL club team for most donations to the Children of Fallen Patriots fundraiser. Please help us continue to support this incredible cause!
Skip the line, buy online! Our next home game series will be another Alaska Airlines Club 49 Cup match up! Join us Friday, December 9th at 7:00 PM, and Saturday December 10th at 7:00 PM as the Wolverines take on the Kenai River Brown Bears.
