New Orleans VooDoo News Release

New Orleans VooDoo WR/DB Luke Leverson has been activated from the injured reserve list and will be eligible to play in Sunday's game against the Orlando Predators, it was announced today by the team.

Leverson will take the place of WR/LB Tremaine Neal on the 24-man roster. Neal was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.

Leverson (5-11, 185, Minnesota), has appeared in four games for the VooDoo this season and is fifth on the team with 14 receptions for 174 yards with one touchdown, while adding five solo tackles and one fumble recovery defensively.

Leverson was on the injured reserve list for the first two games of the season, recovering from an ankle injury suffered in training camp. Leverson then suffered a right shoulder injury in the VooDoo victory over the Detroit Fury on March 12 and was placed on injured reserve on March 16, where he was over the last six games.

The team also signed OL/DL Marlon Tickles to the practice squad. Tickles (6-1, 298, Tulane) played on the defensive line for Tulane from 1999-2002 and spent the 2003 season playing for the Mohegan Wolves and the Cape Fear Wildcats. During his career with the Green Wave, Tickles appeared in 47 games for and recorded 94 tackles with eight sacks.
