Volcanoes rank in top 10 in Nation

The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes drew 118,929 fans during 2004 to rank 10th in the nation (3rd in the Northwest League) for all Short Season A and Rookie League teams, according to Minor League Baseball. The annual attendance report included the 40 teams that play in the New York-Penn League, Appalachian League, Pioneer League, and the Northwest League. In each of their eight seasons the Volcanoes' attendance has exceeded 100,000 fans and overall the team has drawn more than one million fans at Volcanoes Stadium.

Season Ticket Renewals are now underway for 2005. More than 400 season tickets, equating to over 15,000 tickets, have already been sold for next season. Until Friday, October 15, 2004, current season ticket holders have first option to renew their seats.
