Thursday, August 7th - Cancer Awareness Weekend sponsored by Hematology Oncology of Salem.
The"granddaddy" weekend of the summer, as the Volcanoes Honor and Celebrate cancer survivors. The Volcanoes begin a three-game homestand with the Boise Hawks, affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
A pre-game concert by "JT and the Tourists" will kickoff the festivities on the Stadium's Entertainment Deck from 5:00 until 6:15pm on Thursday. Gates will open at 4:45.
The Volcanoes will be wearing their Cancer Awareness Jerseys compliments of Dr. Chuck Petrunin.
If you know a cancer survivor, be sure to invite them to this very special event, you can surprise them too as the Volcanoes will display photographs of cancer survivors on the Stadium's jumbotron FREE during the game...e-mail the picture(s) to the Volcanoes at probasebal@aol.com (yes, one "L" in baseball). "In memory of" photographs will also gladly be displayed. All survivors in attendance will also receive special gifts.
Thursday, isalso$1.00 Thursday Night where selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium's Lava Lodge Sports Pub. Game Time is 6:35; Gates Open at 4:45.
Friday, August 8th - Cancer Awareness Weekend with post-game Fireworks sponsored by Hematology Oncology of Salem.
Cancer Awareness Weekend continues as the Volcanoes Honor and Celebrate all cancer survivors. After the game with the Boise Hawks, affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, there will be an outstanding Fireworks Showcourtesy of Hematology Oncology of Salem.
The Volcanoes will honor and celebrate all cancer survivors, as survivors will be invited to meet the Volcanoes Player on-the-field prior to the game(must arrive by 5:45 be involved in pre-game ceremonies).
The Volcanoes will be wearing their Cancer Awareness Jerseys compliments of Dr. Chuck Petrunin.

Monday, August 11th - Kid's Night
The Volcanoes begin a two-game homestand against our newest in-state rival, the Hillsboro Hops, affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. It is also Monday Kid's Night at Volcanoes Stadium where kids 12 and under may e-mail Volcanoes owner, Jerry Walker, jwalker@volcanoesbaseball.com, and request a FREE ticket. Mr. Walker will e-mail back a FREE ticket voucher which you may print out. Invite all your friends 12 and under to go to the game with you. Game sponsored by Covanta Marion. Game Time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30.
Tuesday, August 12th - Baseball Legend Night - featuring Baseball Great - Don Larsen.
The Volcanoes conclude their two-game homestand with the Hillsboro Hops. Game time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30.
Baseball legend, Don Larsen, will be at Volcanoes Stadium to sign autographs, and be available to pose with you for a picture. Don is the ONLY baseball pitcher in major league history to throw a perfect game in the World Series when he beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 2-0 in the 5th game of the 1956 World Series. No pitcher had ever thrown a perfect game in the World Series before Don, and no one has thrown a perfect game in the World Series since Don. Do not miss this opportunity to meet, and get a FREE autograph, from one of the greatest legends of baseball.
