Volcanoes Announce Individual Game Ticket Sales

The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will issue priority numbers for the pre-purchase of individual game tickets. 500 Priority Numbers will be distributed at Volcanoes Stadium beginning at noon and until 8pm on Saturday, May 17. Distribution of Priority #'s will continue, if they are still available, on Monday, May 19 at 9:00am at Volcanoes Stadium. Fans who receive a priority number will have the first selection of the individual game tickets that remain for the Volcanoes upcoming season. Each Volcanoes Priority Number will include a time slot for the purchase of individual game tickets that will begin on Tuesday, May 27. Individual game tickets will go on sale to the *general public (*those fans without a priority number) on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 9:00am.

"The demand for Volcanoes tickets has been very high," said Rick Nelson VP of Operations for the Volcanoes. "Pre-season sales of tickets have been very good," noted Nelson, "Over 2,000 season ticket equivalents have already been sold with over 80,000 tickets sold for the upcoming season and all our reserved seats are already sold out for certain games," added Nelson. "We have some really big events this year and distribution of priority #'s will equitably and smoothly facilitate the sale of remaining tickets for our really big games. Fans that want to be assured of getting the best seats for the best games should be here on Saturday, May 17, beginning at noon to get a priority #," concluded Nelson.

Priority # Distribution and Use Procedure

Step One: Pick up a Priority # on Saturday, May 17, beginning at noon at Volcanoes Stadium. A total of 500 Priority #'s for purchasing tickets will be distributed. Individuals wishing to receive a Priority # must be at least 13 years of age and be present on May 17. Only one Priority # per person will be provided. Distribution of Priority #'s will continue, if they are still available, on Monday, May 19 at 9:00am at Volcanoes Stadium. When you receive your Priority # you will also be given a time slot to purchase tickets beginning on May 27.

Step Two: Using the Priority # to purchase tickets -- All you do is contact the Volcanoes during the correct time slot listed on your Priority # during the week of May 27 and we'll help you select from the available dates and seating sections. Each Priority # entitles you to purchase a maximum of 10 tickets per game for a maximum of six games.

Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 2003 Special Events Wednesday, June 18 Opening Night Thursday, June 19 Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry appears and sign free autographs Friday, June 20 Little League Night. All area Little Leaguers are invited to meet the Volcanoes on-the-field prior to the game and attend a sleepover at the Stadium following the game.

Friday, June 27 Scott the Snakeman from Disney's Bill Nye the Science Guy appears with his amazing group of reptiles, including: A Python, King Cobra, Boa Constrictor, Rattlesnake, Lizards, Alligator, Giant Tortoise etc.

Saturday, June 28 The Award Winning Frisbee Dogs appear. It's also Scout Night -- all local Scouts are invited to meet the Volcanoes on-the-field prior to the game and attend a camp out at the Stadium following the game.

Friday, July 4 The Volcanoes Presents "7th Annual Patriotic Salute to America". A post-game fireworks extravaganza presented by Marquis Spas and Your Back Yard. Yes, this is the Fireworks Show you've heard about!

Friday, July 18 Campfire and Girl Scout Night -- all local Campfire members and Girl Scouts are invited to meet the Volcanoes on-the-field prior to the game and attend a camp out at the Stadium following the game.

Saturday, July 19 The Famous San Diego Chicken appears and entertains. Sports most famous mascot returns to Volcanoes Stadium.

Thursday, July 24 Faith and Family Night. Friday, July 25 The Award Winning Frisbee Dogs appear. It's also Scout Night II --all local Scouts are invited to meet the Volcanoes on-the-field prior to the game and attend a camp out at the Stadium following the game.

Sunday, July 27 Turn Back the Clock Day. The Volcanoes will wear the uniforms of the 1950's Salem Senators. Prices rolled back on selected food/beverage items.
Sunday, August 3 ZOOperstars perform. See the antics of fan favorites like: Clammy Sosa, Ken Giraffey Jr., Shark McGwire, Shaquelle O'Seal etc.
Wednesday, August 6 Patriotic Night.
Wednesday, August 13 The Award Winning Frisbee Dogs return.
Thursday, August 14 Cancer Awareness Night.
Thursday, August 28 BirdZerk performs.
Friday, August 29 Fan Appreciation Night Fireworks presented by Jensen Development.
