
Vipers Sign Two Vets

The Calgary Vipers are pleased to announce the signing of two veteran baseball players in outfielder Raul Gonzalez and pitcher Pete Sikaras. Both players have long established careers and both appeared in their first game with the Snakes last night.
Gonzalez bats and throws right handed and is five-foot-nine and 200 pounds. The Carolina, Puerto Rico resident is a former big leaguer with 168 career games in Major League Baseball. Back in 2003 the 35-year-old played in 107 games with the New York Mets. Gonzalez has played in more than 2000 games during his 19-year-career.
