
Vipers Sign AAA Shortstop

The Calgary Vipers announce today they have signed former AAA shortstop Guillermo Reyes. The Villa Vasquez, Dominican Republic native has played 100 games at the AAA level and another 306 in AA. For the last two seasons the switch hitting, right handed throwing infielder played in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. Prior to that the 5'10" 185 pounder spent two years in the Can-Am league after seven seasons with the Chicago White Sox affiliation. 2010 will be the 28-year-old's 12 professional season.
Reyes is maybe most known for his defence as in 2008 he committed only 11 errors in 95 games for AA Mobile at shortstop and second base.
