
Vijil selected as Offensive Player of the Week

The Spokane Shock announced today that WR/DB Raul Vijil has been named Schutt offensive player of the week.
Vijil, 5'10" 185, truly had a break-out game accounting for five of the Shock's six touchdowns including a 30 yard touchdown reception from Quarterback Alex Neist that won the game for the Shock 44-41 over the Everett Hawks. His total tied the current league season-high, and single-game scoring mark.
"I am truly honored to receive this award," Vijil said. "We're trying to make things exciting for the fans and we having a great time doing it."
"With each game, Raul is just getting better and better," Head Coach Chris Siegfried said. "He had a great game last weekend, I'm happy that he won this award.
The Spokane Shock travel to Amarillo, TX to face the Dusters this Saturday for their second road game of the season. You can catch all of the action live on 105.7 THE BUZZARD with Larry Weir and Paul Sorenson calling the action. The Shock will return to Spokane on May 6th as they host the Bakersfield Blitz for their second meeting of the season.
