Estero, FL- Firecats Florida OS MAGIC BENTON moved into second place in the af2 record books this past week for career receiving yards with 4,728.

After just two games, he's just 101 yards shy of the all-time mark held by James Scott, who ranks number one overall with 4,829 yards receiving.

Already this season Benton has hauled in 21 passes for 300 yards and six touchdowns. He now has 102 career receiving touchdowns in the regular season, good enough to move him up to #4 all-time and two more scores would move him into the #3 spot. He's just 11 away from Mitch Allner's league record of 113.

For his career Magic has scored 630 points ranking him 5th all-time and he only needs 13 more points to take over the #4 spot.

And that's not it. The Former Miami Hurricane has 377 career catches, only 5 behind former Firecat teammate Cainon Lamb for #2 and he's just 24 receptions away from Corey Hill's all-time top mark of 401.

After picking up their 1st win of the season last week 53-40 over the Macon Knights, the "˜Cats (1-1) will have an opportunity to avenge their season opening loss to the Memphis Xplorers (3-0) this Saturday April 22nd at Germain Arena during their home opener in a match up of the 2004 and 2005 Arena Cup Champions.
