
Victory Field to Host IHSAA State Finals

INDIANAPOLIS -- Victory Field will host eight Indiana high school baseball programs in the 46th annual IHSAA State Finals on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16.
The Class 3A game will be the featured Friday night game scheduled to begin at 7:37 p.m. In that game Western (24-9) will face off against Brebeuf Jesuit (21-8).
Saturday's tripleheader will feature a pair of 30-win teams in the opener and the nightcap. In the first game, schedule for 1:07 p.m., Lafayette Central Catholic (30-4) will take on Shakamak (27-6). The Class 2A championship which features Northfield (28-5) and Evansville Mater Dei (18-13-1) will follow with an approximate start time of 4 p.m.
The final game of the day is slated for an approximate 7 p.m. start, pitting Lake Central (31-1) in the Class 4A title game against Roncalli (23-8-1), who is making an appearance in the finals in just their first season at the 4A level after previously competing in Class 3A.
Each day of the IHSAA State Finals is considered its own session and tickets are available for $9 each day. All adults and students must purchase a ticket to be admitted to Victory Field, but children five years of age and younger will be admitted free of charge.
Tickets to both days contests are also available by visiting the Box Office at 501 W. Maryland Street.
Limited parking is available at Victory Field for $5. Additional parking can be located at White River State Park or the Indiana Government Center Parking Garage.
