Las Vegas Venom News Release
Las Vegas, NV. Dan Savage, President and owner of the ABA Las Vegas Venom, today announced that he has sold the rights to the team to a major Las Vegas corporation. According to Savage, "The new owners are extraordinary and they will help bring the ABA to the forefront of sports with their plans for Las Vegas. They have decided to suspend operations for this season and come back next season with an amazing operation."
Joe Newman, ABA CEO, added, "The Las Vegas market has been the talk of the basketball world in recent months with the announcement of the NBA All-Star Game in February. The new owners in Las Vegas will raise the level of professionalism for our ABA team there with the announcement of several well-known names filling roles in the front office, coaching staff as well as on the court. High profile players with recognizable names will be sure to attract local residents as well as tourists to the game. Plus, according to the new owners, "a "Vegas Style" show will be created with the implementation of post-game concerts and live entertainment in one of the cities highest profile entertainment venues. The new owners are committed to make their new team one of the best in all professional sports. We are very pleased and excited to have them as part of the ABA - and will introduce them shortly."
