Spokane Chiefs News Release

Spokane, Wash. - After a strong showing at training camp, the Vegas Golden Knights have reassigned overage forward Ty Cheveldayoff to the Spokane Chiefs this week.

The six-foot-three winger was an invite to Vegas' rookie tournament, where he chipped in a game-tying goal against the Anaheim Ducks. From there, he was invited to the club's main training camp where he was one of 63 players, including 36 forwards, on the ice.

Cheveldayoff set new career highs across the board in his third season as a Chief after posting 43 points on 20 goals and 23 assists over 59 games played - more than doubling his 19 total points from the year before. The Stony Plain, Alberta native was originally listed by Spokane in 2019.

Cheveldayoff is expected to be available for this Saturday's home opener against the Tri-City Americans, set for a 6:05 p.m. puck drop.
