
Vancouver Battles Aquasox and Mother Nature for 6-4 Victory

(Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians wrapped up the 2009 season with a 6-4 victory over the Everett Aquasox out at Nat Bailey Stadium.
Vancouver took a 1-1 tie into the bottom of the 3rd inning when the Canadians ran into RHP Phillip Roy who struggled walking in two straight C's with the bases loaded help Vancouver to a 3-1 lead.
The Aquasox and Canadians went back and forth with the game tied at 4-4 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning where the C's who take the lead for the final time. DH Max Stassi doubled off of Everett LHP Brandon Pullen and was scored by C Ryan Ortiz to give the C's a 5-4 lead.
The Candaians would tack on a run in the bottom of the 7th inning when 3B Wilfredo Sosa singled to right field scoring SS Michael Gilmartin to give Vancouver a much needed insurance run.
Vancouver RHP Conner Hoehn would come in for a scoreless 9th inning to pick up his 7th save of the summer and securing the C's 36th victory.
Note: The Canadians finished the season 31-0 with a lead heading into the 9th inning.
