Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch At 67's Game This Friday

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch that will be carried through the streets of Ottawa on Saturday, December 12, will be in the Urbandale Centre (formerly Ottawa Civic Centre) this Friday night at 7:30 pm when the Ottawa 67's host the Brampton Battalion.

The Torch, and local Torchbearers, will be part of a special pre-game ceremony and available for viewing between periods. The Torchbearers were selected by Coca-Cola and RBC, the presenting sponsors of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

103 local Torchbearers will carry the Olympic Flame through Ottawa this Saturday. An afternoon ceremony will be held at City Hall shortly after 2 o'clock and an evening celebration will take place on Parliament Hill with a cauldron lighting ceremony shortly after 7:00 pm.
