SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.- In a see-saw battle, Scott Van Slyke dealt the knockout blow for the 66ers in a 6-5 win over the Quakes in front of a season-high 6,877 at Arrowhead Credit Union Park Monday night.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth and the score tied at five, Steven Caseres hit a deep fly off the wall in right-center field for a double. With Adolfo Gonzalez pinch-running for Caseres and first base open, Scott Van Slyke hit a 3-0 pitch up the middle, plating Gonzalez for the walk-off victory.

Manny Ramirez batted leadoff for the 66ers as the designated hitter. In his third game rehabbing with the team, the Dodgers slugger had an infield single in the first before striking out in his next two trips to the plate.

In back-and-forth fashion, Rancho Cucamonga got on the board with a run in the first before the Sixers came back with a single run of their own in the second. The Quakes retook the lead in the fifth on an RBI single from Ryan Kiniry, but Inland Empire came right back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth on a two-run double off the bat of Pedro Baez.

The Quakes tied things up at three in the sixth and added another run in the seventh on a triple by Clay Fuller. However, the Sixers answered with two runs in their half of the seventh on a two-run single by Van Slyke. Rancho Cucamonga tied the game at five in the top of the ninth on two walks, a passed ball, and a fielder's choice.

Van Slyke went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Marcel Prado (1-0, 3.71) picked up the win in relief after blowing the save in the ninth.

Eddie McKiernan (2-4, 3.13), who relinquished the walk-off hit, took the loss.

Eric Stults (1-0, 1.23) made a rehab start on the mound for the Sixers pitching 4 1/3 innings, giving up 1 unearned run and striking out 3 Quakes batters.

Chris Withrow followed Stults with 3 2/3 innings of relief, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and a walk with 5 strikeouts.

The 66ers will look to sweep the Quakes 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Arrowhead Credit Union Park. Mario Alvarez (1-1, 5.02) takes the hill for the 66ers while Ryan Brasier (2-0, 4.45) gets the nod for Rancho Cucamonga. It is a Two Dollar Tuesday with $2 tickets (with the exception of Executive Box), $2 beers and $2 parking. For tickets or more information, call 909-888-9922 or visit www.ie66ers.com.
