
Vamos Picantes Davalan Drives in Four in 13-Run Pepinillos Picantes Performance

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Pepinillos Picantes del Norte (27-15) scored 13 runs on 15 hits to beat the Granjeros de Wisconsin (22-18) 13-4 on a partly cloudy 62-degree Friday night at Dow Diamond.
- Chuck Davalan reached in four of his five at-bats. The Dodgers' No. 8 prospect cleared the bases loaded with a three-run double up the right field line in the fifth. He brought in the first run with an RBI single in the fourth.
- Jose Hernandez had a double, single and two-run home run. In the bottom of the sixth the 23-year-old connected on a 0-1 pitch and sent it 375 feet to deep left field. It was the final two runs scored by Pepinillos Picantes del Norte.
- Jose Meza had a two-hit, two-walk and three-RBI day. In the fourth, Meza sent one the opposite way to right field to bring two home.
Meza has five RBI in this series.
- Kole Myers made his first appearance with Great Lakes this season and gave them the lead in the third. A single to left field laced 105 mph to left field tallied two.
- Pepinillos Picantes del Norte starter Christian Zazueta earned his second win of 2026. The right-hander struck out five, including three in the fifth.
- Wisconsin's Andrew Fischer increased his Midwest League home run lead with his twelfth of the season, a two-run shot to right field in the first inning.
Rounding Things Out
Dodgers No. 3 prospect Eduardo Quintero notched three singles and stole second base three times tonight. Quintero's 14 stolen bases in May are second-best in MLB and all of MiLB.
