Valour FC News Release
WINNIPEG, MB. - Valour FC today announce the team has signed Congolese international player Arnold Bouka Moutou to a contract.
Moutou, 31, joins Valour FC after spending the past three seasons in France's top professional division (Ligue 1) with Dijon FCO.
"We're delighted to have him. I don't think any CPL teams have signed a player from the top four leagues yet," said Valour FC Head Coach & GM, Rob Gale. "A player of his experience and age now has a chance to show himself on a different continent."
In 2012, the defender joined France's Angers SCO, a team competing in the second division of the country's national league (Ligue 2). In four seasons, Moutou played 5,794 minutes in 70 appearances, helping Angers SCO achieve promotion to one of the world's top national leagues, Ligue 1, in the 2014-15 season.
The following season, he made 23 appearances with Angers SCO (Ligue 1), scoring two goals. In 2016, the Reims, France native signed with French regional club Dijon FCO (Ligue 1), making 24 appearances over three seasons.
Internationally, Moutou has made 19 appearances with the Republic of the Congo senior national team, scoring one goal in 1,258 minutes played.
