FC Edmonton Announces Preseason Plans

FC Edmonton's preseason begins on March 2nd as the team prepares for the 2020 Canadian Premier League Season (CPL).

The players report to training camp on March 2nd. They will spend the first two days reporting for fitness testing and medicals. FC Edmonton will spend the first two weeks of training camp in Edmonton before departing to Langley, British Columbia.

The team will be departing for Langley on March 15th and will return to Edmonton on March 24th. FC Edmonton will play three matches during their time in Langley. The matches friendly matches are currently pending approval from the CPL and Canada Soccer association. Once approved, the club will announce the date and opponent of the match.

The players and coaching staff will then make their way to Saskatoon on March 27 as they prepare for two matches against the Saskatoon Selects side. The matches will take place on the 28th and 29th.

The Eddies will finish off the remainder of their preseason in Edmonton before heading out to Victoria, BC on April 9th. The Eddies kick-off their season on April 11, versus Pacific FC at Westhills Stadium.

FC Edmonton will also play two closed door friendly matches in March and April against CPL opposition. Both matches and pending approval from the CPL and Canada Soccer, and will be announced once approved.
