Vallow Player of the Week

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Rhinos goalkeeper Scott Vallow was named USL First Division Player of the Week this week. Striker Johnny Menyongar also received league recognition as he was named to the First Division Team of the Week.

Vallow, already named to the Team of the Week this season, receives the week's best player honor after an 11 save performance at Vancouver on Saturday night. The performance included several key saves in the Rhinos 2-1 win on the road, including a penalty kick on Whitecap forward Ansu Toure. Vallow leads the league in saves this season with 38 and is tied for the league lead with three wins.

Menyongar, who leads the league in goals (4) and points (9) this season, earned his second Team of the Week nod this season. Menyongar registered the game-winning goal in Vancouver, beating Vancouver 'keeper Jay Nolly with a right-footed volley from Tai Atieno.
