TROY, NY - The Houston Astros announced today that the club has signed right-handed pitcher Roger Clemens to a one year deal. The ValleyCats will celebrate by giving away Clemens Statues prior to the 7:00pm August 18 game against the Hudson Valley Renegades to the first 1,500 fans.

The one-of-a-kind hand-crafted statues are exactly 1/12 the scale of the seven time Cy Young winner and future Hall-of-Famer. The lifelike statues are hand painted and hand carved with a beautiful cherry wood base. There is a laser engraved autograph on the base with only 1,500 hand-numbered pieces being produced.

"The statue captures real life action right down to the wrinkles on his uniform" said ValleyCats Vice President/General Manager Rick Murphy. "The ValleyCats are proud to honor Clemens as he is in the hearts of many fans here in Tri-City following his visit to 'The Joe' last season in support of his son Koby."

Koby Clemens was called up to the ValleyCats late last season and appeared in the final 9 games of the year giving the club a spark hitting .281 with a .361 on-base percentage.

Tickets for all games are available now by calling 518-629-CATS, visiting the website at www.tcvalleycats.com and stopping by the box office at "The Joe".
