Val Majewski doing us proud in Baltimore

Chesapeake Baysox News Release
First, let me take a moment to congratulate one of my favorite Baysox Buddies Val Majewski who last Friday was named the Organizational Player of the Year by the Baltimore Orioles. The word from the Orioles' Bird ( who is a close friend of mine) is that Val was grinning ear-to-ear as he shared his honor, formally called the Brooks Robinson Award, with his family who joined him for the pre-game ceremony on the field at Camden Yards.
In fact, the Baysox won two honors as Hayden Penn earned the Jim Palmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year award. As you remember, Hayden spent the last few weeks of the season with us after flying through Delmarva and Frederick. I can't wait to see more great things from that young gun next season!! Congrats go out to both of our boys as they continue to make the whole Baysox gang proud.
All of my other mascot friends are asking me what I'm up to now that our season has ended. Well, I have to admit, I've been kicking back enjoying some postseason baseball. With the O's out, I guess I'm pulling for the Red Sox because like the Baysox, the BoSox have a GREEN MONSTER! Speaking of Monsters, Middleton Manor opens on October 15th, just more than a week away! I'm getting scared just thinking about it. See you soon,
LOTS OF LOVE,
LOUIE
