Utah Flash Open Training Camp At Pinnacle Security Practice Facility

Utah Flash News Release

OREM, Utah, Nov. 15, 2009 -- Preparations for the Utah Flash's third season finally got underway as head coach Brad Jones, his staff and 17 players, tipped off training camp Sunday morning with a two-hour practice at the Pinnacle Security Gym.

The Flash return six veterans to training camp this year, who will be accompanied by local college stars Luke Nevill and Lee Cummard. Nevill and Cummard will put aside their former BYU and Utah ties in an attempt to build on-court chemistry with the rest of their new teammates.

"Luke and I had some great battles over the years, but I'm excited to finally play with him, not against him," said Cummard. "I look forward to sharing the court with him as a friend and teammate, not an opponent."

The Flash will practice twice a day for the next three days, capping two-a-days with an intrasquad scrimmage Tuesday night. The only preseason contest for the Flash will be played Nov. 23 against the Idaho Stampede at a neutral site in Burley, Idaho.

The Flash open the season Nov. 27 in Tulsa, Oklahoma against former Flash assistant Dale Osbourne and the 66ers. The home opener is set for Dec. 5 when the defending western conference champion Flash play host to the Dakota Wizards.

Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 801-434-HOOP.
