
Utah assigns Miles to Albuquerque

Salt Lake City, January 4 - Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O'Connor, announced today that the Utah Jazz have assigned C.J. Miles to the Albuquerque Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League.
Miles, a 6-6 guard out of Skyline High School (Dallas, Texas), has seen action in 10 games for the Utah Jazz, averaging 3.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.3 minutes per game. He has been on the on the inactive list for the past seven games.
"We feel that right now the best way to further C.J.'s development is to send him to Albuquerque where he can get more experience in an actual game setting," said O'Connor.
Originally drafted by the Utah Jazz in the second round (34th pick overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft, Miles averaged 23.5 points while collecting 10 rebounds per game as a senior. Named to the PARADE Magazine All-America First Team, Miles originally committed to the University of Texas. At 18 years old, he is the youngest player in Jazz history.
Miles is the 13th NBA player to be assigned to a D-League affiliate this season and the second to the Thunderbirds. The Phoenix Suns assigned Dijon Thompson on November 4 and re-called him after three games.
