The lead remained at one entering the seventh inning. Brainerd loaded the bases with two outs against Urban. However, Andy forced a ground out to escape the jam.

This gave the Bats a 2-0 lead. Banks reached base three times in the game.
Insurance runs followed for the Bats in the eighth. Kyle Stiner singled with two outs. An error landed Michael Williams on base . Haar knocked Stiner in with a one bagger.
Two runs scored on a base hit by C.J. Gillman. Gillman's first hit of the game gave the Bats the 5-0 lead.
Despite allowing just one hit, James Farris takes the loss for Brainerd. He drops to 0-2 on the season. Both of his losses have taken place in St. Cloud.
Thanks to the win, the Bats improve to 9-7 on the second half. They meet first place Alexandria in the first game of a four game road trip. Austen Wisroth takes the mound for the Bats, as they look to gain ground on the Beetles.
