Montreal, February 13th, 2009 - The Montreal Juniors would like to give an update on Angelo Esposito who injured himself last Wednesday night, February 11th 2009, against the Victoriaville Tigers.
Dr Jacques Toueg, orthopedic surgeon and team doctor, confirmed this morning that Angelo has a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee and it will end his season. Angelo will be reevaluated next week at the Institut de chirurgie spécialisée de Montréal and an operation would probably follow.
According to Dr Toueg's evaluation, this injury will not affect Angelo's career and he should be ready for the Atlanta Trashers' training camp next fall.
