Amarillo Dillas News Release
AMARILLO, TX - The pennant race has officially begun to heat up for the Dillas but only to have it cool off for a night, when unexpected rain deluged the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa last evening. With Amarillo dead smack in the middle of the chase for second best in the United League, the Dillas (30-27) lost ground with rain out and a win by the Edinburg Roadrunners (31-27), who earned their fifth straight win following a four-game sweep of Amarillo last week.
Game one tonight against the Coastal Bend Thunder will begin at 6:05pm, gates open at 5:05pm, with game two expected to start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the regularly scheduled contest. Both games are scheduled for seven-innings and fans can enjoy free admission to the double-dip courtesy of WAL MART.
The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a charter member of United League Baseball, a Professional Independent League, with six teams playing in Texas. ULB teams are located in Amarillo, Coastal Bend, Edinburg, Harlingen, Laredo, and San Angelo.
